bcbrassard Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Looks good, cant wait to see finished product. Love the Toyota builds, i had a couple 85 single cabs back in the day with small systems in them. Jacked up running 33s, great 4x4 rigs. Tuned in for more pics.
Karkov Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 wow man, for having all the wires exposed it looks super clean!! Love the Toyota builds, i had a couple 85 single cabs back in the day with small systems in them. Jacked up running 33s, great 4x4 rigs. Tuned in for more pics. Thanks. At this point, I am kinda waiting until after SBN to button some things up and do my ipad dash. I will hopefully finish some body work and wrap the box before then I have owned quite a few toyotas as you can see from other pics. I have an 83 right now that I am going to probably do something in using all "leftover" parts wow man, for having all the wires exposed it looks super clean!! Love it! Thanks! I have debated making a trim panel, because I usually like super stealthy and clean wiring, but I love the chaos of wire here. Chaos being all equal length cuts in a very specific order and all fused haha It looks pretty organized in person sucks about the belt slip....never had that problem on mine what kind of belt are you using? What is the low temperature by you? I am thinking that has something to do with my issue. When I am in Florida for SBN, I hope to see if that is my issue. I am using a Dayco poly-rib belt. I will order a Gates once I do my idler setup. Honestly, I have no need to go bigger on alt right now, as my Mechman is holding the power levels wonderfully Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. tacomaguy1 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 it doesn't really get colder than 30 or so around here cold would definitely affect it Team Flex Issues
RossGo Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 it doesn't really get colder than 30 or so around here cold would definitely affect it Yeah it has been in the single digits a lot. I have always been told that once you spin a belt, its life is over. So I imagine that even 5 or so cold starts where it spins is enough to do it in. I am hoping I can get some reassurance with some warm weather soon. Changing the belt takes a little under 30 minutes (since I have done it so many times haha) The squeal is more annoying than the work Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. PortSideAudio Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 This build looks awesome! I absolutely love the way the wiring of the final product looks! I've never used hifonics amps, do they actually power the subs to full power? 2002 Toyota Corolla Pioneer DEH-80PRS Soundqubed Q1-2200d Soundqubed HDC3.118 Soundqubed Q4-120 Alpine SPR-60 Alpine SPR-60C
RossGo Posted March 12, 2014 Author Report Posted March 12, 2014 I've never seen one put on a dyno or anything, so I can't say The amps have a good amount of headroom over the subs, so even if I am only getting 2000 regularly out of them, I am happy. Realistically, most issues I have seen with power rating "faults" is what voltage the power is tested at. Since, I hold in the 14 volts most of the time, I imagine I am getting most of their potential at all times. It is all tuned with a DD1 as well so it is clean power. Sure I could get more power out of another company, but for the price... Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. coh33dkill3r Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 The 18s are in a sealed box correct???? How do they sound? Move a lot of air?? Thinking of 8 12s or. 4 15s in a sealed box and was wondering how they perform sealed
