Thank you, thank you, thank you. I really appreciate the comments from all of you! I'm extremely happy with the way it turned out, I agree it does look like it's supposed to be there, and even though that was what I was going for, it really came out better than I expected. Now let's just hope she holds up lol. So far so good... Except I get distracted watching my voltage while driving sometimes lol. But I'm happy to report that my voltage doesn't drop below 13 at the amp distro block.. My HU sometimes reads below 12 (sometimes as low as 11.5 on full tilt) , but now I know what it is at the amps (+/- .1) Oh and yea this lil $10 meter does it all... All that's missing is the corkscrew, bottle opener, and direct line to ET. Lol Malibu Build Log

Baby has been occupying most of my free time, but the equipment collecting has begun... Purchase update: Picked up 4 6.5" PRV mb200-4 pro audio speakers from droppinHZ. Also picked up some 1/0 to 4g reducers and some random SHCA wire from g2shuck. Good deal for both of us, I needed some, and he wanted to clean out some unneeded equipment. Win/win FTW! Lol. Plus it's busy season at work, and those beers and drinks aren't going to pour themselves lol. Going to play around with the pro audio. Might do kicks panels... Maybe redo pods.. Maybe put them in rear... Or in center console... I really have no clue. Just ideas that I'm going to play around with, and see how they sound and where I like them. As of now I plan on keeping the XXXs.. Going to play with those as well... Especially the tweets and going active with them.. (I think the XXX crossover is the culprit for the poor tweeter quality) I have a hard time believing a $110 set of soft dome tweeters are completely bogus Malibu Build Log

(I know I've said that for awhile now, but I now have the means to buy some of the bigger ticket items) Along with some rear suspension work... New shocks, links, and bushings. If you make kick panels i would suggest putting the XXX midbass driver in there and put the pro audio in your doors and go active for best sound and contol. I have been working on venting kicks into or outside of cab, how every tou want to look at it and i double midbass output with no vibrations added inside. So midrange in the doors & midbass in the kicks. You have a lot of plans for the car, sounds good buddy. You wait until the kids hits the terrible 2s, you'll see real devilish behaivor. ha ha

Pass side would be ok, but drivers side would be a complete no go... Even if I removed parking brake and everything else, I need leg room lol. Plus in my reading I've read that it's best to put 160hz+ drivers in kick and the 80hz+ in doors.. It's different for every car/setup, but that's the baseline I'm trying to work with. I really like the sound of the xxx midbass in the sealed pods... "Controlled" environment if you will. So I if I do redo my doors and use the XXXs, I'll try and keep the same concept with the .25^3 sealed pods. Even if I have to create seperate chambers. Malibu Build Log
