They look cool but I would f that up real quick getting in and out of my truck. Bcbrassard has a point that if its primary for mid bass direction wouldn't matter much. If it were mine I would try and tuck that in a bit. IDK

I admit my first ride with them, I absolutely hated them!!! Almost scrapped the whole idea. But after getting them secure and getting used to it a bit, it's not that bad... And the after listening a few rides, well worth it!

(Poly fill saved the day once again!)

I tucked them as far back as physically possible, no other way to do it with these monsters and my little kick panel space... There's a reason Q Logic doesn't make em for my car. Lol.

I'm using them as more of a mid range... I drop em down on the PRS if I have my sub off for mid bass, but with he PRVs I'm getting fairly decent midbass and mid range with the XXXs @ 100hz and the PRVs @ 160. (6x9s @160 as well)

hooked up the 6x9s to the PRS as well. It's getting pretty loud in the little malibu :)

I guess your right. They are a pretty big speaker. So does the mid bass get drowned out by the subs?

RE CTX1000.4 (600 watts rms)

I have the XXXs on 1-2 (2ohm)

PRVs on 3-4. (PRVs in parallel @2ohm)

Then rear 6x9s wired to rear channel of HU, so they are crossed the same as the PRVs.

I must say the 6x9s sound pretty damn good for only seeing deck power, adds a nice rear fill with everything else on as well)

They look great, yeah kicks are a great spot to give off mid bass but i bet mids will sound great. I wish i would of started with kick panels before attempting to do a door panel but this is how we learn. I hope to try and make some in the future. Hope it sounds as clean as it looks. :lol2: Keep up the awesome work for sure!

Thanks!

Yea after doing doors, the kicks were a breeze... I bet it will be the same for you.. At least by going big and doing your whole doors to start, everything else will seem a hell of a lot easier for you..

How's your ride coming?

Plasti dip'd some exterior trim. Grill, trunk trim, and the HP makers (lol)

I started by doing the whole chrome part on the grill but didn't like the look so I peeled all of it except the chevy emblem. Did the same on the backside
