bcbrassard
With the Alt in and batteries hooked up with all fuses installed it was time to make sure there were no issues before i start to DD-1 all amps. I decided to use the SQ tracks to get the best sound out of my system. All went smooth and now to wire up all the speakers. T400-4 running T3 Tweeter with rear channel free for another set of Tweeters if needed. T400-2 running in 2 ohm mode with the T2s & T3s. Puting out about 123 watts per speaker. bcbrassard
On first install when i ran 2 runs of 0 AWG to the trunk and went thru center console so i could keep my RCAs and speaker wires running down the sides of the car i had the power sitting on the carpet after center console because i didnt want 0 awg getting damaged from the rear seats and passangers. Told myself i would build a dog house around them. Well it bugged the shit out of me so while rerunning power i pulled them out of center console, pulled carpet back to take a slug hammer and surgiclly indented the metal to run 2 0 AWG & 2 4 AWG runs. Taped up metal for extra protection. heres before and after pics. Much cleaner look!
bcbrassard
Finished product it the trunk. Turned out great and clean IMO. I had the T1D212" in 4 ohm mode but after playing with the system the sub stage was lacking so i switched it to 1 ohm to get more out of it. It worked, before my mirror would vibrate, now it falls off axis.
bcbrassard
Interior put all back together and the car shrinks down to nothing inside! lol I am real happy with how it turned out. I feel good about the 2 yrs of learning off SMD and proud of what i was able to acomplish with what i had. I know if i had a garage and enough time that it could beway better. But i think for this car and this build i am done. This was all good learning for the 2012 Malibu SQ build i want to do. I plan to buy up goodies this summer and install it next winter. I would like to get into the car sene here in AK to meter my car, possible enter it in contests and definately see what else is out there for sound systems to have a better comparison. Thank you SMD and the members for all your help & support. Rockin A RF system! Yes, I know! Cheesy mounting of VM but i had no time to fab something up but wanted it installed and working. I will make something for it if i dont just get a SMD VM and mount something nice in there. Voltage on system is great, at idle 14.2 and at full tilt doown to 13.7. So ya really happy with my electrical.

Oh well, when you coming back to AK? As women can always be indecisive I can't give an expected date. Kind of depends on if/when I get a job lined up. A might wait until our daughter is done with her first year of school. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. boom50cal
Clean work, tuned in. My Volvo is similar in size to your lancer, 8th gen correct? The S40's shared a Lancer Evo 3 platform, supposedly. Lots of interchangeable parts. Even some Evo 4 parts interchangeable.
