Sound Deadener.. Is it worth it?

Recommended Posts

Thanks. Do either of y'all know anyone who could design me a box by any chance?

That dude above me(cleansierra) knows what he's doing with box designs. You could also make a post in the subwoofer/enclosure section and more than likely Joe will chime in.

If you want to save money some guys use Ice Guard from Home Depot on the inside of there doors. It is in the roofing department where they sell shingles at, It has a smell but you can overcome the buzz from it!

Over anything else, I'd ask where are the 8's going.....If they're in the doors, deaden the doors. But if your doing 2 8s sealed off forward firing on 300 watts, there's not much of a reason to deaden.

If I were you, I'd install them and see what rattles. Maybe buy a pack to have on hand, but don't start deadening shit that's not gonna rattle. You'll waste a lot of time and money that way.

Hey it is okay for others to say it but not me. There was a topic about this months ago. Myself I would not use it. But for a beater of a ride that you may not keep why not. Okay for one but not for the other. I don't believe someone when the are always saying, I believe when they are describing a product either.
