Recommended Posts

What are your home-theater options as of now?

As in speakers, amplifiers, pre-amps, ect..

Yeah, i'd go 1080p.

How do you think 3, R9 290's would work on 1440?? lmao, just throwing it out there. I actually found a Z87 board for 190, that has 3 PCI 3.0 x16 slots, compared to the one I am getting that is only 2 and cost 100 more.

fast, hot x3.

I was looking at all dayton gear off of parts express. Their bookshelf speakers x4, left and right, front and rear. Dayton Center, and more than likely a dayton sub bult into a custom enclosure. As far as stereo I had a pioneer on the list that would match all them for their RMS rating but I would need to make sure that the stereo has a optical connection. If not I will need to look elsewhere.

Yeah, i'd go 1080p.

Hmmm, definetely a game changer lmao. just need to make up my mind on 60hz or 120hz. Would like it to be as clear as it possibly can be. If I am going all out, lol want it to be the Shit!!!!!

120hz, no questions. A pair of 290's at 3x 1920x1080 will be fine. Just be ready for a bit of noise and make sure you've got a cpu to keep them going.

I don't have any experience with 120hz, but 1440p is much more beautiful (assuming you aren't going with the Tempest or other).

3x 290's will be supper duper hot lol, but I would still run it if I could.

As for audio, I haven't looked at the Dayton gear you are looking at, but they are a great company.

why do you say if I'm not using the Tempest? Just curious. And even if I am, that's Soooo much just on monitors lol. And Steve, I'm pretty sure the i7 4770k oc'ed can keep up. I was looking around and seen a few places saying that, that one is in the top of the line of Intel cpu's Edited by RooTxBeeR

Just meant an overclocked 1440p panel to get the best of both worlds.

Oh I get ya. Well, It is a decision now. I am sticking with the 3 PCI slot mobo so down the road I can get a third and really let them FPS shine. Just need to save up for that price tag on 3 of those monitors lmao.

You wont see a huge difference in 60hz and 120hz, especially with Vsync on. A higher res IPS panel would look hot though.

Completely untrue, especially if you get a 120hz panel that supports black frame insertion or "lightboost".

Folks! I am a gaming geek. I have been playing games for a long time. I have been trying to install Counter-Strike Global Offensive on my PC but the configuration of my PC is not sufficient to support that game that might be due to the built-in graphics card which is very low. I have been searching for the best SSD for Gaming that can support Counter Strike GO on my PC. I have come across the list of SSD for gaming, but I am not sure which one should I opt out.
Here are the two SSD cards that I think would be the most suitable for me.
      Samsung 960 Pro
      MyDigitalSSD 120GB

Im really curious if you guys were going to build a van with a big setup (160+) for demos, to be musical around town etc.  The van has to look good and still be very very driveable.

What type of van would you use  and why?

Also would like to know what your favourite vans are that are currently competing or have in the past?  Favourite by looks, favourite by their setup, or favourite because a mixture of both.

      The more pics the merrier....

      Thanks for your time

Right now I have a T3 components in the doors, T1652s in the rear (T400-4 amp) and 2 P212s (R5001xd 619 @ 1 ohm birthsheet). Ive been looking all over for an upgrade, first I thought maybe T015s and a T1500 amp. That set up would've costed me 3500 and it would've just been a big ass box in my sedan's trunk, likely not what the subwoofers really want or need. I then bought some 12s HDC3s and I sold them to someone else after being convinced the same thing. I started looking into DD and the size of their boxes are crazy big (and I do not want one subwoofer). So now I'm looking at having four P3D410s in a "show build" powered by 2 prime 1200s. With that said, I'd have more than double the cone area and more than double the power (does this mean I'll increase by 6 decibels?)

What do you think of the build in question? Will I be impressed? Should I get a box for this or should I let them just make this "show build"? Meaning they'd want me to appear at shows to show off their work. I'll answer all questions! Links to videos of your own 10s would be acceptable as well.
