Grant Whalen Posted December 23, 2013 Report Share Posted December 23, 2013 i had 2 15s 1200 watt rms 2400 max and bridged to 1 ohm on 2400 watts and i barely got any flex not clipping not distorted so i didnt know what went wrong but i sold them to a buddy and his car flexes alot! so its kinda space and dimensions for maximum potential and your setup is just pure amazing. Got new stuff on the store, so, it was time to change the Cadence C6 i was using to loudforce amplifiers, installed a pair of 3ks strapped at 1 ohm (.5 ohms a piece) First test: a disaster! definitely got louder but the voltage was dropping around 9v!! it was more than obvious that i had major issues with the wiring , batts or maybe both, at least it showed me how strong the loudforce amplifiers are lol they didn´t got that hot or protect or anything like that after 30 minutes playing at full tilt,so, it was time to test each battery... Charging the batts seperately, the D3100 under the hood and the northstar nsb110ft batts on the back What did i found? well, the two batts on the back were completly dead, they didn´t hold the charge even after 24 hours on the charger, and tried to start the car with each one and none of them couldn´t give the explorer some juice to start, thank god the D3100 it´s in perfect shape, this means, i´ve been pounding the explorer with a single battery the whole time lol, anyways, here´s a vid with the 3ks on a single battery I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Plan was to continue using the pair of 3ks at .5 ohms a piece, but, i prefered to be wired at 1 ohm so i could be demoing for many hours on a few big shows coming soon , specially on the shitty electrical i have right now, and, for the record, the loudforce 10K is a .5 ohms version so i´m definitely not gonna get huge power out of it for the next few months. By the way, took out the shitty batts and installed 2 other nsb 110ft batts i had on my daily car New Score a 24 hz , GOT LOWS???? New Score a 41 hz Haven´t clamped or anything, the loudforce 10K on the manual says it´s 2700 watts at 4 ohms and 11.9v , i´ve been rising above 4 ohms on every frequency and my voltage is dropping around there right now, guess i will be getting 3K at the most , thank god the box seem to be efficient as hell, i gained .6 dbs changing the batts and 1.8 dbs with the amplifier, next step is to add more batts and change the subs for the loudforce 90 series and wire this thing at .5 ohms, should get louder I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
