That Loud Focus...USAlternators Hairpin, 4 DD 9515i's in a B pillar on 2 Soundstream XXX-15K's. Caps and Lithium Power. New vids

If I could do it again I would have went with 12s due to the lack of space in the car. I tried to put the batteries in the spare tire well and they didn't fit well they were up to high. the box gets installed and then all the panel go back in around it. It is a pain in the ass task. So, since I couldn't find the air space I needed. I could find the power, I would have went with a 9k but it wouldn't physically fit in the car. The setup from the 5k to the 7.5k made the system just a bit louder but a lot more musical. The car surprises people that it is a stock class car that is musical, does well on the meter and isn't a lame ass one note wonder. I know it peaks high but we messed with port and the cars peak didn't change much.

I am not going to worry about. The car has won every show it has entered in the stock class it competes. Once I lose I may redo it. Although I have more fun demoing the car than I do metering the car. A 5-10 second burp doesn't do much for me.

Wasn't that number done in the kick? Or am I thinking of a different car?

These numbers were in the kick. I want to meter at the headrest as I don't listen to music with my head stuffed under the dash lol

Okay here are the pics as I promised, a little late but here.

This is the single 15 box that I ran. It was a Sundown Nightshade 15 with a pair of Sundown saz2000d's on it. I burped a 152.6 sealed on the dash at 52hz with this setup. Since I no longer run the vehicle I will tell the box specs for anyone interested. The box is 3 cubes net with a single 8" aeroport tuned to 46hz. I don't have actual box dimensions but iirc the port was 15.5" long.

Here is the 4 Sundown Audio sa12's off a pair of Sundown saz3500d's. This setup was tuned to 36hz and burped a 155.4 on the dash sealed at 43hz. It had 6 4" aeroports at 22" long and was 6.5 cubes net.

Here is the 2 15 daily box that I had. It was 7.6 cubes with 6 4" aeros. The ports were 17" and tuned to 37hz. This setup did a 153.1 on the dash sealed with 2 3500d's at 42hz.

This is the 2 15 spl box that I ran. It was 6 cubes net with 2 8" aeros tuned to 46hz. What is funny is this box also peaked at 46hz and did a 154.3 on the dash sealed. It's 2 Nightshade 15's with 2 saz3500's.

I hope this helps some of the Zx3, Zx5 owners out there. Like I said before this is the loudest hatch only install in a Focus ZX3 that has been in competition. The best numbers that were achieved out of the vehicle were 155.4 on the dash sealed, 157.1 in the kick with passenger door open, and 154.2 at the middle of the headrests. I've been answering questions on this car for a while so hopefully this is some good info for you guys out there wanting to know.

Yes it is. The best the car has done sealed on the dash was a 149.8 at 51hz. Ill try to find the pic.

The plastic panels take up a ton of space and damn those are some great numbers! Sucks those designs would take me out of the stock class and move me to modified :/

@Nightshade Looks good man. I think I might end up doing 15's in a c pillar (assuming I can fit them). I think I can get that to mid 50's if I do it right. plus I would be sealed of and not have to worry about the hatch flexing and rattling. I realize none of those setups had port up like mine does. any reason for that?

if seats fold up on the 4 12s id be shocked and why not do that if you want your mid 50?

@Slammin he said seats fold up but don't latch into place. and I would need to go away from DD if I were to do 4 12's for airspace reasons. probably won't do that though. kinda want to find my own way to get loud. he also had the 2 door. I have a 4 door which will be harder to get louder in. the back doors don't like bass lol.
