oldsoundguy
I just went out and put in another set of the AQ 6.5 three way speakers in my door. Wow these have so much more mid bass that the Soundqubed pro audio. Yes I know that the pro audio is meant to get loud but I thought it would have a little. The coax sound a lot better now than before. Must be either my kick ass door panel/pods or I was just used to listening to the pro audio that it just makes them sound better to my ears. lol Anyway cant wait to get the new soundqubed coax speakers and put those in. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

oldsoundguy
So I am now officially done buying speakers for my truck. I have tried 4 different sets of speakers. Everthing but the RE audios were ran with two sets of Soundqubed soft dome tweets. Two sets of RE Audio 6.5 component set. Pros, Have great mid bass from 6.5s and get pretty loud Cons, tweets didn't sound good ( might be better to run them active and not use their crossover) 6.5 speakers are big and deep so you will need to modify door to make fit. expensive, and only come in 2 ohm as it would be nice if they had a 4 ohm set so you could run two sets active at 2 ohms. Two sets of Soundqubed 6.5 pro audio speakers Pros, Get loud and clear, fairly inexpensive at 56 a set Cons, just get loud, mid bass is not there but still a good speaker. Two sets of discontinued AQ 6.5 three way speakers. Pros, Killer deal on ebay for 15 bucks a set, get loud, have good mid bass but not as good as the RE Audio's, look cool and sound good. These will be the ones I will stick with. Cons, blew the tweets on three of the speakers I bought first then I bought more and they are going strong. Still I have 60 bucks into 4 sets of speakers so not bad at all. Two sets of soundqubed 6.5 2 way speakers. Pros, look nice and sound better than the pro audio, price is ok at 59 a set Cons, The less expensive AQ speakers sound better, have a bigger magnet and just look better IMO I will keep them just incase something happens to the AQ as I cant get anymore of them. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
oldsoundguy
Got the day off work so I think I will install the 80PRS today. Also I think I will install one pro audio 6.5 in each door along with one three way just to see what it sounds like. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
