Aj11 Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 i was taking to a guy at my.local radio shop, i was buying road Kill hush mat. i asked about the others his response was and i quote "tar and foil is tar and foil" note this guy was early 50s and has owned his own shop for 15 of them.i know some are better but its def better than not having any. I've had dyno mat And in no way could i tell the road kill and dyno apart.yes different cars but the install was the same and it made my system sound much much better. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
oldsoundguy Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Yes I just did my Toyota Tacoma extended cab with this GT mat. I used 100 sqft of the 50 mill. Made a real big difference. I did the floor front to back and up the back wall, inside and out of the front doors and the rear extended panels inside and out. I still have a little left maybe enough to do the roof. IMO its a great deal. I paid 119 for the 100 ft shipped. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

oldsoundguy Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 I assume its ashpalt based and not butyl IDK it didn't smell. I did have to heat it up with a heat gun to get it sticky. There is absolutely no smell after the install either like some have said about the Home Depot stuff for roofs. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

If you are going to do a big area like I did I say it worked great. I had a guy I work with standing outside my Toyota PU which are like tin cans and he couldn't hear me telling him the door was unlocked. LOL IMO it works great. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
