B-Sh0t Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 I prefer solder just because its cheaper than a good set of crimps if you dont plan on doing a bunch of installs. I you have a local welding supply they can crimp them for you( I just bring a $5 tip lol).

FuriousG Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 A good crimp is all you need, but if you feel that you need more there's no reason you can't solder that connection you just crimped. It may give you the satisfaction of knowing it's not ever going to move. Personally I prefer to crimp, especially if the connection is close to any intended curves of the ckt. Solder wicked back into a 2/0 lead is not exactly flexible
