Jeep03
I have two Sundown x-12's. I need a new box but I'm not to sure what I what the box tuned at. I was thinking 32 hertz. But im stuck from 29 and 34 as well. Anyway, I'm living in a RV trailer away from home and I don't have the necessary tools to actually build a box so I was looking at buying one on ebay such as this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-CU-FT-CUSTOM-VENTED-DUAL-12-MDF-CAR-SUBWOOFER-BOX-ENCLOSURE-TUNED-32Hz-/360485928462?pt=US_Speaker_Sub_Enclosures&hash=item53eea2be0e&vxp=mtr or maybe this one at 5 CU. FT. http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-CU-FT-CUSTOM-VENTED-DUAL-12-MDF-CAR-SUBWOOFER-BOX-ENCLOSURE-TUNED-34Hz-/170906576037?pt=US_Speaker_Sub_Enclosures&hash=item27cad364a5&vxp=mtr Im not sure which ones to go with. Also these are powered by a hifonics 2400. Also if someone wants to build one for me and send it my way we can work that out as well.
Triticum Agricolam
Prefab boxes are significantly less than ideal. What part of the country are you in? There may be someone nearby that would be willing to build you a box. Swordlordboy1234
There are plenty of guys willing to build boxes around. Don't go prefab. Might as well sell those woofers if you put them in a shit enclosure. Swordlordboy1234
Yeah,... At those prices. You can get one of the best boxes you will ever own. BassHeadsEnt - robin butler builds and ships on the of the best boxes around. I've owned 3 boxes in my life. First one was from him, I loved it. Second box... Well I learned the lesson about a good box design and build. Then my current box is the best I've ever seen. Another guy that does awesome work shipped is Dave the box guy. They are right around the same price range. Most of their entry level boxes run around 250 shipped for a simple well built design. And most of their high end stuff is closer to 450 shipped. Keep in mind shipping is about $75. Dave the box guy has a website you can access for a exact quote. And robin butler can be reached on Facebook PM's. Either way a box is a great investment. Measure 3x... Pick your woofers and power for a long term (minimum a year to have that set up) and have a bad ass box built. You won't regret it. If your more the of the DIY guy, check out ram designs website or on Facebook for designs. Robin butler also does designs for sale. TZspeakersZac
Off the original topic, but that box actually looks pretty solid. LOL wow. I just texted this guy and he paid $500 from that audio shop I was talking about'. http://corpuschristi.craigslist.org/ele/4164524485.html Smh. Not $500 worth of solid, but solid nonetheless. Though not very pretty. Nah man, it's cuz of the bass.
