osiris10012
Hello everyone just wanted to give a big thanks for the help I received from Joe X, Souldrop, Triticum Agricolam and all the others that helped me in my noob status of box building. Thanks to all of you I made some great strides in box building compared to my previous clueless status. Here is a recent pic of the progress I made on my enclosure. I am a bit of a perfectionist and will most likely rebuild this using the things I learned over this build to better the next one. Overall I am very happy with how it came out especially considering I have never built an enclosure by myself and have never been involved with a vented enclosure build. The box is built out of 3/4" mdf using titebond III and some liquid nail silicone to prevent any leaks from a few of my imperfections. It has an internal net volume of right around 1 cu. ft and is tuned to 35 Hz. It will house a sundown e10 being pushed by a jl 250.1 until I can afford a more powerful amp. I will post more pics after I get it fully assembled and installed. I can't wait to hear this set up.

osiris10012
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am so anxious to have a sub in my vehicle again. Haven't had one for around 4 years. I know I know, crazy but there were reasons. lol. This will also be the first sub I have ever had in a truck. Sad part is that I am already looking at future upgrades and I haven't even installed this one. haha. First thing I will upgrade is the amp. I am thinking I will go with an saz-1200d or saz-1500d so when I get bored with the e10 I can upgrade to a sundown x10.
Joe X
Very neat woodworking man, the X mounting depth and airspace requirements may be a problem on that box, here the next step people have taken in their upgrade path: Or like this: Next is ditching the rear seats and do something like this: Finally a wall. Enjoy your stuff for a while, you just did a great job.
osiris10012
Those are some great looking boxes Joe x. i am definitely going to enjoy this for awhile. Good equipment isn't cheap as most know. The X is way down the road. I have already excepted the fact that I will lose at least my small seat when the time comes. I will keep you all updated. I am hoping to have it all installed before Christmas.
