Afficionado
Might take a shot with both of the butts in the air if anyone is interested, i was actually surprised, the Z v.3 motor is quite a bit bigger than the X motor. That blown Z v.3 is also for sale in the for sale section. Indeed. The Z v.3 motor is 30mm wider with thicker steel -- the X has a taller magnet stack for the additional excursion, though. Unfortunately i dont know enough about car audio to ask intelligent questions, but maybe you can interpret what im asking. How is motor ability (force?) Measured? And what is the difference between the z v.3 and the x Quote If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved. bigbodylexus
So in theory, if I am not going after those killer lows, the Zv3 18 would be a better option than the Zv4 18? Nightshade
So in theory, if I am not going after those killer lows, the Zv3 18 would be a better option than the Zv4 18? Not necessarily, it is going to depend on a few more things. The v3 would probably be better for all out SPL and burps, but if you are doing a daily setup the v4 is the way to go. The only small flaw with the v4 is the mounting depth. This makes it hard to put the sub in smaller spaces. Gotta love those lows. Quote 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.
bigbodylexus
But if I remember correctly Jacob stated that the v4 subs didn't like the higher bass notes, my wall does though Quote 1990 Chevy Suburban (Big Booty Judy) (4) Sundown Audio Zv5 18's (1) Sundown Audio Salt 12K (1) Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 (1) Sundown Audio SAE-50.4 (2) Crossfire ST-1 Tweeters (2) Obsidian Audio ST-1 tweeters (4) Sundown Audio Neo Pro v3 6.5's Saving 2nd Bass
