xDark Admiralx Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 SO i just installed a set of Rockford Fosgate T1675-s in my car and i am getting power to the tweeters, but i am not getting any sound from the speakers. I'm trying to find out what went wrong but from the looks of it, everything is hooked up properly. I think it may be a problem with the crossovers but i'm not sure.
bcbrassard Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Those inputs in the crossovers can be a bitch, make sure you have good WIRE connection in the terminals. Trust me they need to go in deep with no insulation on the crimps in the crossover its self.
xDark Admiralx Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 I just got done re wiring the crossovers and I'm still not getting any sound to the mids. I'm not sure what else to try.
Kenyatta Goins Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 hook up a ddm to the crossover to see if there is voltage coming out of the crossover if not then you know there is a crossover issue if there is then you know that there is a wiring issue
Krakin Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Idk if the T1's have Bi-amping, but if they do, check inside of the the crossover and see if there is a switch that says "bi-Amp" and make sure it is turned off. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
bcbrassard Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 T1s have bi-amping but most of the time they come with the switch off. You can look thru the window in the front of the crossover to see what position its in.
Skullz Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 If your using a single amp then just use a jumper wire from the woofer to the tweeter so both have input going into them. If the crossover has a switch to bi-amp or single amp then switch that to the single amp position or otherwise just use a jumper between the two inputs. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
