Cybermanlonnie
I've been searching the forums for awhile and every time i see something with bass boost, i always see someone saying don't use it. Why is it on the amp if your not supposed to use it. Just curios, does it hurt the amp?
alaskanzx5
It can abs will most likely cause distortion/clipping in which will destroy subs. IMO if set right (turn bad boost on then set the gain accordingly) it could be safe but still pointless. Don't know why it's there if it can cause damage, maybe so uneducated people burn up their subs faster. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Brent Anderson
my guess is its for burping there system to the max with clipping? that's my guess never used it though since i think its pointless. if you want louder buy a bigger system is how i look at it. Cybermanlonnie
I've always wondered why its there when it can hurt your subs. I always keep mine off, just curious on the purpose behind it.
SPLadd1ct
Not ALL music people listen to is heavily modified bass music such as decaf, DJSNT, big pimpin, etc. Some songs out there have a bass line that is recorded at a very low level (greater than -15db). Although I still don't see how one could ever use up ALL the gain (no matter what head unit or song) and still need more bass enhancing settings. I think this would be a great question for Tony D'amore (: 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4.0 v6 2 sundown audio prototype nsv4 15s crossfire 4k wired to 0.4 ohm 15 banks of maxwell 3.0 caps @ 18v triple alts (x2 us alt 250's, x1 singer 320) 153 at 23hz
