775Tundra
what is shank size? The stem of the bit. You can get 1/4 inch diameter bits with a 1/2 inch shank. so i have to get 1/4 diameter bits only? No. But the jasper jig is calibrated for a 1/4 bit. I just do the math to compensate for a larger bit. 2003 Tahoe dc 7.5k dc level 5 15's (3) MMats 341's xs power batts lots of sky high cable dual alts(came off the sky-high gmc and don't know who made them) ipad in center console vu-din in center console all being ripped out and being sold
Borris The Blade
You can get 1/2 bits to. I'd use a 1/4" dia with the jasper since set up for it. Not sure if they make a 1/4" dia with a 1/2" shank though. Another good bit to get is a flush trim bit, they are great to have. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep. Borris The Blade
That all depends on how much you want to round over. A 3/4" will round off 3/4 and a 1/2 will cut a 1/2 and so on. There are so many possibilities with a router you will wonder how you lived without one. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
tacomaguy1
Sounds like you never used a router before....be cool with it at first. They can be dangerous You can cut through as thick of a piece of wood that you want, well as deep as the plunge will go. Like others mentioned don't cut tthe whole thing at once. SlamminBeats
1/4" diameter. I use a 1" long bit because I don't like to cut through all of it at once. I find it best to make a few passes to keep the heat down on the bit and I burned up one trying to power through 3/4" MDF.link to bit? my router says 1/4 and 1/2 collet? is that bit diameter? is shank size what you match up to the collet size? so i can use 1/2 and 1/4 shank?Correct.
