Brent Anderson Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 when I look at lets say XS power and kinetic ( forget the fact one is better then the other here).I looked at the kinetic 2400. says it does 2400 watts says 2600 but ill just say 2400 for the hell of it and 128 amp hours. and when you look at a smaller battery from lets look at the xs power D5100 it has way more watts (3100 watts max) but now this one has less amp hours:60.... little help here? when I look at this im not even sure whats going on here. for a person who like to lessen to music. would I not want more max output or more amp hours? with out looking at the fact there both different batterys its the point im looking at is what does the audio person really look at?
BigGains Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 I dont really look at the ah, I look more at the output for the reason the ah comes into play when your vehicle isnt running. .. I really dont listen to my system with the truck off... I prefer xs batts but I know kinetic is a good battery as well.... 2003 silverado TEAM DC Pioneer Avh 5500 4 DC lvl 5 18s 12 crescendo pwx 6.5s 4 crescendo ft1 tweets 6xs d3400s Singer 400 alt Skyhigh ofc wires Skyhigh speaker wires Smd vm1 2 DC 175.4 DC 10k

Amp hour is important, to me, because, like mentioned, when your at and then beyond alternator capacity, your into battery "reserve". Thats why we have banks. And yanking 6-7-800 amps, the alt is maxed preeeeeeeety quick, lol. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Brent Anderson Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 so when we are talking about when its on I should be looking at the ah? but when its off I should be looking at the max watts?
Brent Anderson Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 or over all its allways the ah I should be only really looking at?
goldeneye4564 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 the kinetiks are readily available here in canada the xs have to be brought up from the states or you can look at dekas which come from the states but they are a bit cheaper.. AH is an important thing to look at but one 128 AH battery isnt going to help much. get a couple. or four. or eight. I RREEALLY ANGRY WIT U PHOTOBUCKET. HAD TO USE DROPBOX NOW HOLYYYYYY. Brent Anderson Posted December 31, 2013 Author Report Posted December 31, 2013 not caring about buying batterys just was a little lost when I seen one with more watts less ah and vice versa with the other.
alaskanzx5 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 for example say we have 2 batteries, battery A and battery B. battery A amp hours at 20 hr rate: 100 amp hours at 10hr rate 92 battery B only says 110ah battery b doesn't give good enough details to make a real comparison of the 2. you don't know it that 110ah rate was amp hours at 20 hr rate or at 10 hr rate. to make a real comparison with out doing real world testing you would have to find out more about battery b. comparing 2 batteries just by their ah isn't exactly possible to do when not all batteries are listing the specs taken the same way. unless you know both are at say a 10 hr rate you cant compare them, its like comparing apples to oranges. what really matters is real world testing. now no one has money to buy different batteries until they find the one that does best in their car. that is where looking at reviews of batteries and trying to talk to people that have personally used one of the batteries in question. there is a video xs power did load test different brand batteries of the same group size to do a comparison, it does show if im not mistaken the kinetic they tested was fairly close to their battery in the testing they did. im sure if you look hard enough you can find other videos of load tests on different batteries as well. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
Kyblack76 Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Well done. ^^^^ Bro, I prefer Xs. Because I do. So i bought the biggest fucking thing that would fit in my stock location, and the biggest I could get for reserve. That easy for me. Your just gonna have to make a choice. Both are great cells.
