And I'll also ask this: Unhook your amp from your box, take your multi meter, and measure the resistance at the terminals on the box, then touch the probes on your multi meter to measure their resistance. Post both numbers here

Yup simple as that!

And while you are at it, briefly tap a 9v battery to the terminals too. Both subs should move in the same direction

1. Using a DMM on a BDCP amp won't work. Long story short, the amp has some non-conventional circuitry in it.

3. So called "prefab" boxes don't help your issue. If sealed, they are generally too small. If ported, they are too small, tuned too high, with too little port area. Just not enough of anything - they cater to a market of people who want something small without realizing the impact it has on sound and efficiency

This might be what I had an issue with. LOL Good to know.

I missed where anyone told him to do anything to the amp with a DMM. He needs to measure the final impedance of his subs, to determine what the amp "sees". A way off number will indicate a blown coil, coils wired wrong etc. touching the leads together will tell him the resistance within the leads, which is to be subtracted from the reading he gets from the subs.

Am I close Snow?

Yup spot on!

He did the DMM on his own accord though. Works fine on most amps, but the BDCPs are a different beast all together. Not quite as simple with those

i beleive i figured out after tweaking around when i took one of my sub rcas out of the radio nothing happened and when i took the other one out the subs stopped all together so i checked my rcas and one of them (the metal peice of the male rca) was broke in half :0 replaced them seems fine now i need to set the lpf and gain :/ should i touch the punch eq at all?
