Airborne
Always wondered about these kinds of setups. Wouldn't it all just shear off if you ran into any kind of rocks or really steep grades? i hate this IFS 4x4 shit with a passion its so fucking ugly....... luckily the real offroaders /builders do a S.A.S (solid axle swap) and good to go lookin clean rock crawlers do well with solid axles but look at REAL off roaders... Baja trucks do better with IFS and they run 500 miles balls out in TERRIBLE conditions...
REVOofRustler
The difference is that Baja trucks have 20+ inches of suspension travel to soak anything up. That Chevy might have 10 inches of travel with hardly any dropout and the center of gravity of a sky scraper... 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 club cab - Sold 2004 Audi S4 Avant - Fi and Crescendo - Stock Bose System - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147725-2002-dodge-dakota-end-of-the-road/?hl=%202002%20%20dakota 136.4 Sealed @ 29hz 137.0 Drivers window open @ 26hz

I love them for what I do with them, beating the fuck out of my f-250. An a-arm setup is nicer on the street though. It seems that most builds are going with an a-arm setup now for long travel shit. Whenever I find one, my F-250 is getting a D60 solid swapped in up front. Maybe a custom crew cab like setup, offroad style flatbed...possibly chopping the frame and shortening it 10-14 inches or so... It'll start this summer.
