Novak
my buddy wrecked his car and he needed money bad. so he sodl me some of his car audio, I bought a sundown saz 1500d v2 with 1 28ft., 2 10ft, 4 2ft 1/0 scha for 300 bucks ok so now I have a fusing and dual input question my head is telling me that ill take the needed fusing and divide the need fusing by 2 for the 2 runs so 160 for the saz and another 40 for my mids and high amp. ill need 200 amps fo fusing so ill have 100 amp fuse on each run right? and im ordering toolmaker dual inputs is there any fuse blocks that will take 2 1/0 cables and use a single fuse? not needed just would prefer? 98 honda civic hx build in process have need sundown x-12 d4 more sound deadening sundown saz1500d v2 alternator (mechman) sky high 1/0 w/ big 3 false walls and fiberglassing amp rack (half done) and box processor kicker zx 200.4 (mids/highs) infinity reference components trunk lid rear deck and rear quarter panels deadened kinetic hc1400 under the hood (picking up 2 more late Jan early feb) check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wF0CV2NaX4 November 9th, 2013 metered 140.3 at Midwest audio &detailing sealed on dash w/ termlab (w/ old alpine amp, new amp yet to be metered)
bbeljefe
The main fuse on your power wire is there to protect the wire, not the electronics, so you'd want to fuse each run of zero with the appropriate fuse. 250A if it's CCA & 300 if it's OFC. Once you get to the distribution point, that's where you'd want to fuse to protect the amps. And yes, if you need 200 amps of fusing on two runs, then two 100 amp fuses in parallel would be adequate.
