SICKSPD
So I'm about to cut holes for my sub but I've read something before about how the placement of the woofers in relation to where the port ends inside the box can affect the output. Does the port need to end (in line) with the center of a subwoofer cone or to the side of them. Like if you were to draw an imaginary line from the front of the box to the back from the center or edge of the woofer, where should the port best be in line with ending? 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. SnowDrifter
Generally speaking, you want to orient it such that it's furthest from the port opening on the inside of the box ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Joe X
You don't want the sub and the port interacting with each other so as said far from each other.
