ROLEXrifleman Posted April 9, 2015 Author Report Posted April 9, 2015 had to build a step down for the media player in dash As stated a 7805 was all I needed. here's the down and dirty in pics. Made for less than $5 and built my way. 9-20 volts in with a constant 5 volts out! BTW, the 1st pic was parts I cannibalized from an old VCR. I ended up buying new parts but the VCR parts would have been fine. This will do 2 amps max with the heat sink Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
OrionStang Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 The clock in the pillar is kinda 80s LOL. What are the two volt gauges monitoring? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

ROLEXrifleman Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 Got around to running my power wire. Got fed up and didn't want to go under the car so I had to figure it out. There's tons of write ups out there on how to fit a little wire through the grommet located behind the computer but nothing showing this! Fist 1 moved the computer completely outta the way exposing the grommet: from the inside: disconnect some plugs and pull teh grommet all the way out: remove the grommet and cut out the center: now you can see what you can really fit in it! Bundled up nice and neat! 2 0 gauge runs, factory wiring and my power wires for gauges. from the inside: power running: power off: the gauges are controlled by a relay throwing a negative trigger when the car is on or in the acc position. as you can see I wanted to keep with the classy OEM look under the hood so I used so cheap ass split loom. I'm all about stealth! lol Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
