Ruchab91 Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Hey guys A question here i dont care to much about symmetry as much quality sound soo Is it possible to mix Aplifiers from different manufactures that have Different rms outbputs on the same stage so Say you Have a JL audio Amp on your Mid Bass and mid range and a Mosconi Aplifier on your Tweeters were the JL is doing 120*4 RMS and the tweeters are say only 100Wrms Does this have any effect on matching sound levels in the car or am i just nutty ?
biscuitownz Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Mixing amps like that will work fine. You'll just have to set the gain accordingly.
bbeljefe Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Electrons can't read. And if you're running 120 wpc on your mids you don't need more than 40-50 wpc on your tweets. ;-) Facebook: facebook.com/audioanarchyllc Instagram: audioanarchyllc Youtube: youtube.com/bbeljefe
audiofanaticz Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Mix them all you want. The only thing you dont want to do is use brand A amplifier on one voice coil of a sub, and brand b amplifier on the woofers other coil. As well as you dont want to use brand a amplifier to power 1 sub, and brand b to power the 2nd sub (especially if its a common chamber box)! But what you are trying to do is fine, and actually done a lot.
hazestorm23 Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 ^^^^^^^^ what he said. You should be fine.
