hdorre
Alright, so basically Im building an idler pulley bracket.. But am lost with what material to use. I was thinking of just using sheet metal, but don't know what thickness to get. OR, is there something else I should use? Here, let me explain more of what Im doing... Here's my factory alt bracket: I plan on using the bolts that are blue as my mounts for the idler pulley bracket: Here's where the mounts will be (when bolted on to the engine): Its a bit odd to explain this, but basically the sheet metal will have 3 holes- 2 to bolt on to the alternator bracket and one for the idler pulley. n8ball2013
Use one of the holes and a bolt with the pull on it. Don't over complicate it. You'll be hard pressed as.is to line it up right. n8ball2013
Also just about any way you route that it's going to give you less belt wrap even if you did two pulleys it doesn't sit well with me tbh THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. I would remove the stock idler, but wouldn't my crank pulley suffer (the right most pulley)?
