Skipping..

Recommended Posts

So I finally put in my LVL 4 18's yesterday and I am only running them off a TMA T1000.1 because I had it laying around, and they are insanely loud, the only problem is that at about volume 24 my HU starts to skip, is there any specific thing I can do to fix this? Because once I get an amp that is more then twice the power, it will really be an issue.

2000 Ford Explorer XLT

-20" RVM "Buck" Wheels

-2.5% Tint

-CompuStar Vizion Alarm

-(4) Infinity Kappa 680.7cs 5x7"

-1 XStatic BatCap Model 300

-2 18" DC LVL 4's

-Amps are undecided

Yep..... turn the volume down

You could try changing how the deck sits in the dash and see if that helps.... Sometimes it's just the deck, some can handle the vibrations better then others. Or you could look into a cd changer

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

I bet if it turned it down it probably would stop skipping haha..

I will try that, with my last deck i put some padding above and below it maybe that will work for this one, thanks.

or buy a better deck

Haha maybe if I didn't just buy my DCs I could lol.
