KenC210
So I know nothing about competing. Just curious on how it works. I did look over the rules but I am a little confused on the classes. I would consider trying to build my tundra to compete. Just wondering what class that would be in. I figure the truck class but what is the stock class. I see I need to have the box behind the rear seat and things like that. Just looking for a bit of information. KenC210
When I went to my first comp I just talked to the judge and he as able to tell me I could do that however Most of the meets are at least 3 or 4 hours away. But I would like to try and get me a build setup to see if i could show in the heatwave in Austin. If I don't compete I am going to still go anyway That would be the next closest show. Which is why i come here to ask from people that know. tacomaguy1
Build it Show up and compete in whatever class Doesn't sound like your real serious about competing so doesn't matter really If you go it and want to get serious than start building for a certain class for the next time Team Flex Issues
Swordlordboy1234
Just learn some stuff on here. Build what you want and what you can live with and enjoy. Go to a show. Learn what you can from other guys there and the judges.. See if you like competing world. Then rebuild and start that lifestyle. I personally won't be competing for real. More just metering my car for personal goals. I would like to try and stay in the stock class as starting out and I am reading the rules and it states i would have to keep it behind the rear seat or under for my truck being a full size. Now in my tundra my rear seat is on a rail system and could slide forward quite a bit. I haven't got the exact measurement with the fully forward. So does this mean i could if i wanted have my seat fully forward? tacomaguy1
As long as its behind and the seat isn't modified in any way I see it being ok But I know zero about usaci Team Flex Issues
Swordlordboy1234
Take out your back seat, keep it under the window line and behind B pillar (except in single cab trucks) and you will be in modified class (sorted by your power of your total bass amps at 4ohms) Otherwise your gonna have to do stock class which means all seats and everything appearing stock and functional. Which is much harder. You will most likely get thrashed in modified, as most modified guys are between 147-155db with the occasional fart box doing stupid high numbers. But it's more important (to me) to have a system you enjoy and fits with your preferences and life style, since you have to use it every day. If you have any questions about usaci feel free to ask. That's what I "compete" in. Edit.. I lied... Stock class - everything looks and operates 100% stock Super stock - below glass (or in trunk) and behind b pillar mods... No walls, no stripper poles Modified - walls allowed, no stripper poles, behind b pillar Super modified. Anything you want to do to get loud. Wall it at the A pillar if you would like.. KenC210
I understood the classes. So does this mean my rear seat needs to be all the way back or could it slide forward? As stock it slides forward or back. So would i be able to be in the stock class with the seats forward or do they need to be completely back. If they have to be completely back then i would be screwed in trying to stay in a stock class because there will be zero room behind the seat and since the seats slide like a front seat but fold as well there is not much room under the seat.
