Envoyon2s
Me and a buddy were chatting at work about bass race and weather its a better idea to have alot of subs with decent amounts of power ex: (8 12"s on 4kw) or a couple bigger subs and decent amount of power (2 18"s 2kw each). My idea is more cone area and more heat dissipation will make for a better bass racing vehical. Discuss.

kingsuv
Multiple subs moving is sexy Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

mrwigglezdj
x2, ive never been one to have money to "properly" power my setups to their full, but when you have 12 10s or 8 15s you can have 100 watts per sub and still have people go wow... its wonderful Quote Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
assman
Well its a dog eat dog world.Even tho you can probably get louder with say 2-4 bigger subs with more power in a ported encloser then a sealed encloser with a bunch of subs with less power. In my eyes a bunch of subs with say rms power going to them is alot cooler to play with.Plus with more cone area you will have more air movement in which gives you more flex. Charger
Lots of motors means more heat dissipation so you can play longer without smoking anything, you also get the added benefit of more cone area for more efficiency. Plus it looks damn cool!!
