Forevrbumpn
The box up there is my buddies, the design I gave him was just a common constant line, tuned at 38hz.... And Vad, The Fs of the driver, and the quarter wave of the box are all off, 70" is only 48hz or so, so basically you dont have a tline at all, just a 48hz ported box. To match the Fs of the driver, well you need a much longer line, like 125" long for 27hz BUT, you can save yourself here, try filling the line with fiberglass, or polyfill, untill it sounds better. Loosely filling it evenly all the way thru the line should get the tunning to drop alot I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
LSN2meBoom916
<--Just reread the 1st page/math section. I think I get it too! :w00t: <----Soo gonna try this and u bet I'll have pics/let ya know how it goes. One Q: One the little "V's" to "keep the waves from destroying each other..." I just dont see the location of them from the pics. My setup will be undoubtedly multiple woofers so I'm curious. I have some EMT 6's i wanna try, some CVR 8's I think might be fun, and damn near a dozen 10's to play with. I shall be borrowin ur ear/brain at Autoramma if I can catch up to ya (And get the days off werk!) I was wondering if a decent pair or 2 pair(4) 12's setup could do over 150db on music /daily in a setup like this? And in a hatchback w/ about 9cft? (Integra) AWSOME TUTORIAL BTW. Forevrbumpn
well, how much room do you have back there? I have a ritual called "terminator". LSN2meBoom916
Man I think i'm stuck here. On the 1st page where does the 160in^2 of port come from? SD of a single 12 would be (3.14)(radius^2) which is 6^2=36...36x(3.14)=113.04. DOUBLE that=226.08...? where does the 160in^2 come from? I'm lost on that part. BTW I'm just trying to fig out a Tlinebox for a single HCCA10D2 (same as for sale in that section but I wont run it unless no one buys it). I found these specs for it: Qts=0.43 Qms=4.87 Fs=42hz Sd=50in^2 So according to ur math: 1130/42=26.90 = 1 wavelenghth 26.90/4=6.72 = 1/4 wavelength so port should be 6.72ft long. Sd= 50in^2 soo...Port should be 50in^2 also?
