Skullz
I have not used the XL's but the HSK's are amazing and well worth the price, if you get the XL's you won't be disappointed in the least. Hertz/Audison make awesome products that i wouldn't hesitated for a second on purchasing. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Robert8252
Recommend a proper active setup if you can. I ran 150-250rms to each crossed 70hz-3kish. Deaden the hell out of the door. At least a solid single layer if not two. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff

rick1987
not to Hijack your thread fx4trucker I just picked up a set of hsk 165's, not he XL just the regular ones. I will be putting them in my 2000 Lexus LS400. quick question tho, the factory speakers are 5.25 in there own box in the door, I was just going to open the hole to fit the 6.5 and use the factory box. Will this work ok? I will also be dampening the door with Second Skin.
Robert8252
It will work but if you could run them IB in the door it worked better for me. I've ran the regular HSKs, the XLs, and the Milles. All worked great in the same install. 2 layers of second skin on the metal of the door, cover all holes to inside of the door where the window is. I also did a layer on the back of the actual door panel as well to hold as much sound inside the door as possible. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
