Renting a car in Vegas

Im going to Vegas next wk, need a break from considering 20 degrees warm...I was thinking of renting a car and wanted to see if anyone here has done it before. Im 25 and have never rented one, i want to use it to go around town outside the strip where it would take for ever to walk(whats a good company to rent it from)

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Oh and not looking to rent a lambo or mercedez, just something to get around in

With the traffic on the strip, walking is usually faster than driving LOL.

Are you looking for a high-end rental, or just a car to get around in? You can get supercars for $1500 or so a day, or just go on Expedia or the like to find a reasonable rate on a normal car.

oh not on the strip, last year we walked and took the bus for cheap. i dont mind walking there

but want to go to a few places some ways away....not with in walking distance.

With National car rental directly on the site, looking at ~$280 for economy car something like a chevy spark for Monday through Friday, noon pickup and dropoff.

thats not too shabby, i was thinking of renting it for a day or two so that will be even cheaper

so far the travelocity site is pretty cheap, i did check on that national site aswell

yeah use Travelocity, just went and checked there myself and IDK what Fox rentacar will give you but it's damn cheap. Probably gonna be given a POS leaking oil and blowing smoke but damn, $13/day.
