styleraustin94 Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 I am either going to hook up a second battery, different make and age, or use the second battery as my main. If I hook up the the battery in parallel like I plan to do I need an isolator if I don't plan on playing music with the car off? I don't want to kill one of my batterys. I'm running a 136 amp alt now. Any advice would be great.

If I have a 0 gauge run from battery + to battery + do I really need to make a second Run of 0 gauge to the negatives on the battery's or can I do the big 3 and make a secure ground. Also should I going my amps the the body or the negative to my battery

Also should I going my amps the the body or the negative to my battery Do the big 3 and ground the rear batteries to the chassis. Just make double sure all of the grounds are clean and tight. If the grounds are where the weather can get to them make sure it is protected from the elements with paint or dielectric grease etc.. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
