bass_lord Posted July 16, 2014 Author Report Posted July 16, 2014 The dimension are 36 x 18 x 46.... the port is 4 inches wide... and 12.5 inches long... he said it was tuned to 32 Hz...
alaskanzx5 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 So 3k and 2 18? might and might not do it. I haven't done a hair trick. I've moved decent amounts of air and could do the usual plastic bag or empty McDonald cup trick with the window cracked. No exp on what it takes. just because you have subs that are capable and possibly enough power (I would think more is needed but there are people that have done hair tricks with less) doesn't mean you will do one. Sure a great box will help but if you have a good box design but poor woodworking skills you can still get a shitty box. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
Robert8252 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 That port is choking the shit out of those subs. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
CleanSierra Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Agree on that small pretty area. I'd like have 70-80" per sub. So a total of 140-160" or in that range. Is your port 4" wide by 16.5" tall? Obviously it is 12.5" deep Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Cj Kumz Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Please verify the specs of your box. Let us know what is the height, width and depth. Also the facing positions of the subs and the port, and also if its double baffled and stuff. The port area is way too low according to that info. Aj11 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 you have a good chance of doing a decent hair trick. last month at one of my team meets a kid had a temp Set up. it was a fi btl 12 on a saz 2500 In a 2.5/3 ft box with a 6 aero port2. i don't remember the tune but It was in a dodge nitro. he could do a "hair trick" not the violent ones yousee on YouTube but a girl sticking her head in the window it would blow her hair back. Also float Cups bags even money in the window. if a single 12 on less then 3000w can do a hair trick i hope 2 18s can. but what some wOuld call a hair trick others might not. I'm hoping for a hair trick myself. 15 in 4.5 cubes 54 inches of port on 3600w before rise. we will See.... jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
CleanSierra Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 i just want to scream Me too man, me too. If you want a hairtrick, tune the box to 25 Hz, and feed those subs 4-5000 Watts total. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
SlamminBeats Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 are systems even meant for music anymore or are they for moving hair? honestly i would just put a box fan at your window and crank that up. Would be alot cheaper than a system and save lots of time. I mean your end goal is to just move hair at the window right. fkn sheesh
