Nathan @ XSpower
Yeah that is pretty normal. Your batteries are probably fully charged, so the maintainer will only put a low voltage and amperage charge into the batteries to maintain their charger. Once you draw one of them down the maintainer should charger for a longer period of time.
Karkov
Ok thanks guys. Also, I have no choice of what the charger/maintainer makes them go up to, I watched and it goes to about 14.8 then drops back down, never really any higher. Keep in mind they have been on this maintained for a while now with no load so they are fully charged. As being fully charged the maintainer spikes them up to the 14.8 then must stop because they then drop back down to resting before my eyes, usually getting to 14 pretty quick then down to resting a little slower. This is in regards to not charging them over 14.4 Quote 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Karkov
XS won't take it back I bought it BNIB from a member here. Voltage on it resting and charging was fine, thought the inside was still intact and planned on using it, never used it. Not even sure if they would take it back given all the circumstances. Maybe should have checked but I am just sick of dealing with shit lately. Already got new one on order. Thanks for the concern/idea though. =) Quote 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Rck'nRF
It's gonna have to be repaired by a glue MUCH stronger than a silicon or JB-weld type crap! (JB is not for plastic) If you can,tip it over, wipe it good-let crack dry, get some of that glue for Hot Tubs, then maybe a coat of Gasket maker on top after that dries, then some strips of good Gorilla type duct tape, then Gasket maker on tape again ..BUT,i think leaky/cracked batts should not be messed with as if not correctly fixed, all it takes is a very cold night and it'll proabaly just separate/possible skin burns/ or worse. gotto be extra careful should it ever get decent spark(getting a boost)..tread carefully with this one..
