jamiedelle Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 i need some demensions on about a 5-6 cu ft ported enclosure for my l7 15, tuning wise i would prefer 30-34 hz but anything would help. if need my trunk demensions let me know i can measure them but its a 97 dodge intrepid and it has a pretty bug trunk so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Joe X Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Yes your trunk dimensions BUT the dimensions need to fit through the trunk opening, also your amp model.
jamiedelle Posted March 13, 2014 Author Report Posted March 13, 2014 i think my trunk demensions are 37"D 36"W and i think 15-16" tall and i have an old school rockford amp its 1000.1 mono 1000 rms @ 2 ohms 500 rms @ 4 ohms need anymore info? and i also have it in a box right nnow idk if the demensions on the would help direct you in the right direction.
Joe X Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 PLEASE build a cardboard dummy box (dimensions below) before cutting any wood, way too many people never got the box in, it got stuck in the trunk opening, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz.

He's not lying make the cardboard first my box fit in the trunk but not through the whole had to cut out some supports for my back set to get it in sounds great though lol
jamiedelle Posted March 15, 2014 Author Report Posted March 15, 2014 Thank you so much, im forsure going to build cardboard first. and will adding extra port peices make it any louder or deeper?

jamiedelle Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 how far should the end of the port be away from the back of the box
john253a Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 At least the width But because the seat is angled give it a bit more accriss the bottom and less on top and you'll be fine Just make sure the seat is atleast 1.5" from from the surround in the sub Idd tune it a bit higher and give it a bit more leg room Mine was 7net 90sq" of port at 37hz on 1k clean And it loved it
