sharkshit55 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 So at this point i understand that i will need more power to run my system. Im trying to push 1 18 to the max. I think im sold on hdc3 18 and down to 1 ohm. The amp i have now which is still in the box is hhifonics zeus 1800 which says it will do 1.8k rms. I was reading the hifonics dont always do rated. Meade tested one and it did better then rated. So for the price i was thinking of getting 2.4k hifonics for about 20 more bucks. With that said i will have to run another battery but will anyone do. As of now im running the biggest battery from walmart with is the everlast maxxx. I didnt even buy it to my car specs just grabbed the biggest one. Will i be able to add another one of do i need a certain kind. I dont plan on doing comps just yet so not much playing at stand still. So will i need a deep cycle batteryor a car audio grade one. Looking to buy hdc3 and sq2200 bundle. let me know
poorfish88 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 To do it right you need a AGM battery up front and rear. If you mix SLA and AGM, it will kill the AGM sooner. Because SLA batts have a lower resting voltage the AGM batt will be constantly drained. I wouldn't use a SLA at all.
sharkshit55 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Report Posted March 14, 2014 so when people mix them thats actual hurting the system. even if you run use one solely as the starter and the other for the system Looking to buy hdc3 and sq2200 bundle. let me know
sharkshit55 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Report Posted March 14, 2014 whats the smallest size agm battery i can use. i know i can add to them later but to start what a good size or amount of powert to push at least 2.4k rms plus the 4oo rms for the speakers. i guess i will have a 3k system. im trying to do this for the cheap but right Looking to buy hdc3 and sq2200 bundle. let me know
JEFFYBOI Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 You can use a battery isolator but I wouldn't recommend it "Toyota Camry rebuild page 21 (link)http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183768-94-crossfire-camry-18s-walled-singer-alt-has-arrived-rebuild-starts-pg-10/page-21 PIONEER DEH-P8400BH 2 CROSSFIRE C5 1700D 2 CROSSFIRE C7 18 HOOD. BoomZoom808 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 You can use 2 big wet batteries but you need to install it outside the cab. They vent toxic fumes that are highly flammable. and neverlast batteries suck ass the one I had in my Mag was only 2 years old and had troubles starting the Hemi randomly. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON 12

sharkshit55 Posted March 15, 2014 Author Report Posted March 15, 2014 Oh i see it only problem is that i dont have a facebook, gram, tweeter, or myspace. Does he have an email? So dont use a regularbattery ok. Now what is the problem with an isolator? Isnt that importantto have so one battery doesnt drain the other. So i should just run in series. Ok so whats the min. For a 3k system. I was looking at maybe running 2 small kenitics 'dont know how to spell it. But the are pretty cheap and 2 will be cheaper and have more power then just athe mbig one for the same price range. Or should i just suck it up and get one good for the system if so what size. And please tell me the one that is the min power to have im just getting started and yes i will upgrade and improve later. Thanks everyone Looking to buy hdc3 and sq2200 bundle. let me know
WastedTalent Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 shca.com i think. just google the shit lol. Or Cj. Isolator is for those who typically run different voltages. Like 12V up front and 16V in back or whatever. when you do multiple batteries, unless you run a setup like that, you'll have the same voltage. So you want to essentially...combine them for 1 big battery. Look at people who have like 4 D7500's. Essentially, it's not 4 D7500's. It's... uhm, 1 big ass giant mofo. For 3k, I'd grab whatever is the biggest you can fit up front plus probably a group 31 or something. but my 2 cents. And I'd stay away from kinetik. Cheap but that's for a reason. I speak from personal experience. Went from kinetik to xs and while they're "the same" as they're AGM and all... no they aren't. Sheena = pedobear
CleanSierra Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Check your local Craigslist as well. You'll likely find some good deals on there. Die hard makes a good AGM. Just check and you'll find something. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
