I have bunch of big cable laying around and if I could utilize it, good save some cash. Like I have bunch of different 1/0 gauge cable around that when cut in half one has thick individual strands of copper, while other cable I have has thin individual strands but there a alot more strands. TaylorFade Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 "Car Audio" cable is oversized. The good CA 1/0 is comparable to 2/0 welding cable or 2/0"awg". It also has a more attractive and more flexible jacket. It will also be a higher stand count making it more flexible to facilitate tight installs that you might run into in a CA environment. But as far as ampacity... it's the same shit.
