Ok so did my tuning using the -5 track i have a line driver also I always use a preset eq on my head unit so left it on when tuning because it pushes a higher signal than flat and I figured if I tuned it flat then used the eq after it would boost it into clipping, after tuning my subs seem to be doing too much with the bass knob all the way down and I turn it a tad and gets extremely loud before even 1/4 the way up ? What' did I do wrong i left amp gain down turned line driver up halfway because where it actually distorts is too much voltage for my amp it's and audio control overdrive and does over 8v before clipping and my amps Input is 6 so after tuning that I turned the gain up in the amp til distortion then backed off a good bit, don't understand why it seems to be almost full tilt at the lowest on my control knob

Would it be better without the line driver ? I used it before because I used the blip lights to set the gains on my old amps and the higher voltage helps keep ground or engine noise out but do you guys think I should remove it? And also one amp saz3000 and yes control Knob I like to keep the level low when I'm just riding without it I get one volume of bass I like the option to control whether I want the bass loud or not

DD-1 your speaker wires coming out from HU. I bet they distort quicker than the preouts.

Yeh they're running off the head unit all my

Other speakers are running off my 4 channel, door speakers just don't sound good when the volume goes past 50 plus the loudest normal

Volume I Listen to is 44 and that's at exactly 3/4

Probably that's why I just keep it at 3/4 but I don't get why after I set the gains it's already seems like it's close to full tilt with the "bass" knob all the way down, should I use the -10 tone just to be safe

Bass knobs are trouble. Don't use it.

If you set your gains and allow for some movement on the bass knob then you are losing output at other frequencies.

If you don't account for the bass knob and try to boost afterwards, you are creating square waves = bad.

What components are you running that they can't take HU power?
