Recommended Posts

I got a fi sp4 18 and i was hoping for some box design help, The space i have to work with is 20(w)x31(h)x60(l). I would like to do a 6th order because i would like to get the most out of the sp4.

4th order will be better for the sp4 and easier to design

is it just as loud as a 6th order? and could it hit 20-80 hz? i heard 6th order was more efficient than 4th, and 8th order is a real ground pounder, but you need to be Jesus to build one that isn't a one note wonder.

ive never heard of any box/sub combination thats strong from 20-80 lol a good bandwidth if you like lows is around 25-50 and if you dont care about lows 30-60, some might even consider those bandwidths great. Either of those will be easily doable with an sp4 18 in the right 4th order. It just depends on what you want. Tell me what kinda music you listen to and how low-high you would realistically like to play and ill help you the best i can

I like rock, metal, hiphop/rap and decaf. Im not expecting a 18" to hit every bass guitar note, but i would like to see some in there. Realistically it would be great to hit 25-50hz +.
