Deadly hertzz
Really puzzled right now after finishing new build put my Mtx terminator 400/4 back in I've had it around 5 or 6 years no probz what so ever but now it won't play through any of my tweeters I tried 3 different sets and they all sound really quiet and with an echo but it plays my rockford coaxials fine and a set of 6x9s fine but all 3 sets including a brand new set of tweeters won't play right I haven't changed any of the amp setting and even if I switch from high pass to full range on the amp settings it keeps doing it I'm lost 8 sundown sa 12s walledSaz3000 at .5HO altAll ofc Sky high wireAlpine componentsRockford power mids

Krakin
You blew something in the crossover. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Krakin
As in not inside of the amp. The little box that comes with your speakers is what blew. Deadly hertzz
That's what I thought too about the crossovers but I just tried a brand new set today and another set without the crossover and still same result doesn't make any sense 8 sundown sa 12s walledSaz3000 at .5HO altAll ofc Sky high wireAlpine componentsRockford power mids
White Lightning
I would try your tweeters on another amplifier. May be something wrong with the amplifier. even though it plays the 6x9s ok ... there may be missing frequiencies that the tweeters need to operate. Deadly hertzz
Everything worked fine before I put it all back in and also the rockford are 2 way so they have a tweeter n the middle and play right, I'm gonna try the tweeters on another amp and make sure but no matter where I set the filters on the amp they keep just playing really low and bad sounding 8 sundown sa 12s walledSaz3000 at .5HO altAll ofc Sky high wireAlpine componentsRockford power mids
