MoFatt0529 Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Hello everybody, not new to this forum however I could not find a new member forum, mabey there isn't one (feel free to re-locate the thread, sorry) umm, I have a 2005 dakota, not new to stereos, just wanted to join in on the interesting things I read and learn a little more (maybe share some knowledge and expirence?). I was browsing through the good ole' craigslist and saw a alpine alpine pdx-4.150 brand new and picked it up for less than 100$, which motivated me to finally chane my current setup. When I got my new truck about a year ago I went to a local shop and got a RE liitle 125.2 amp and an R2, built a sealed 1.1 cube box for it changed stock headunit out to a el cheapo kenwood, put alpine type E's up front. and put some kicker DS's in the rear, the rear stock speaker location was'nt cuttin it, so i built some pods for the C pillars to relocate them from the muffled, down by the floor, behind my box location to the next to your ear screaming loud metallic tweeter ouch location, WHICH WORKED GREAT. Currently (right now tomorrow) I and going to put my RF R2 12 in a 1.8ft^3 33hz aero port box, never used an aero port but hey well try it out.... along with my kenwood kac-9105D(900w rms) but well bridge it up to 8 ohms ruffly somewhat less than max but still to much for it, and my cool new alpine amp for a louder SQ style system not looking for turbo bass just something to rock ot to when driving though town.
