goodvibez
Love the color match! Great choice for the Tahoe and definitely looks good on the dash/interior! Great work all around! Quote Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! TRON
When your meters turn on they do a sweep all the way up then back down. My VM-1 doesn't do that...should it? meade916
When your meters turn on they do a sweep all the way up then back down. My VM-1 doesn't do that...should it? the newer models now do that to match the OM-1 and TM-1. When we first came out with the VM-1, there was no OM-1 or TM-1....now that they are here, we made them match. meade916
It's amazing how many pictures one small little project like this one can generate. I guess you can call this a "how to make a molex plug" update. Any time you have a lot of things that need to be unplugged at the same time, a molex plug is where it's at. You might have seen me do this to my door panels, Chicken's Caddy door panels, the A-pillars etc. I do this of course because if i need to remove the panel and work on it or take it out for any reason, i don't have to butcher the wire. I simply unplug and go. IIRC i got all this stuff at parts express. It's been a while but last time i got them i bought extra's. Being a pack-rat has it's benefits I was just going to use a series of push-on slide connectors (male/female) but those things can be hard to remove and plus they are kinda ugly. Like i said, i had extra molex plugs so i decided to take this to the next level. Always plan this out and be careful! things can go REAL bad if you have even one wire wrong (as you can imagine). Cutting all the wires to length. making sure i have enough male/female pins to get the job done... I have a LOT of reds/whites soldered together ( and 4 grounds....so they get soldered into a more manageable single wire. Crimped well into the plastic jacket to give it some support in case it gets pulled (even though i know it wont). I didn't just crimp them, i also soldered each one. Built to last is how i do it. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! meade916
I designed this wire to go to the right (your left lol)....it needs to kinda fold once i put the piece in. That's only half done...time to do the other side. Same procedure of course...crimped nicely and then soldered. I think heat shrink is right up there with cow bell. Everything is better with more of it. 2 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! goodvibez
Nice! Looks great! I have been looking around for some of those molex connector kits to do some small projects...makes it nice for stuff you have to disconnect occasionally Quote Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it.
