OrionStang
Some people really should refrain from posting in certain sections. Verify firing order. What did you use to clean the tb? The sulfur smell is catalytic for sure, so a sensor is bad soewhere, causing a fucked a/f ratio, and heat. Scan tool should point you towards the sensor if thats what it is. Facekicker
My amateur guess is a clogged cat, it will produce the smell and if the catalyst has fragmented it can clog up your exhaust flow and choke things. 2002 Monte Carlo Started a build log Fi, DC, Mechman, XS Power

Kyblack76
You are correct ken. Cat is going poop. But now why? Also, I did the tune up BECAUSE of said items. More expensive reader and gauge showed fuel pressure is solid (thank god) And no a miss in cyl 5. Was 2 from another shop. Christ. A way. Cap/rotor is getting replaced as I type. Kyblack76
Would a bad car make it not pass emissions ??? Cuz it did 5 weeks ago. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
OrionStang
O2 sensor(s), MAF sensor, my God there are a ton of 'sensors' that may affect a/f ratio. Also, it could just be the age of the cat. At any rate, if you replace the cat and there is still an underlying issue, you will kill the new one. However, if it is simply a clogged cat, it could fix everything.
