Skax
ok just a couple of minutes ago i was testing to see if one of my subs was playing by taking it out of the box and hooking it to my amp and accidenty put pos neg and neg pos on it and it went crazy for a second and i took it off everything cut out nothing smoked or nothing like that but i pulled my mids amp out since the remote from it jumps to my sub amp and replaced it with my new ct 125.4 and the ct 125.4 doesnt even come on either any ideas? both amps get no power checked fuses ,connections, grounds, idk what else to check. 2002 Mustang GT Procharged Procharger P1SC Supercharger, 8psi Procharger Intercooler, Headers, Borla Off Road X-Pipe Exhaust, Mass Airflow Upgraded Fuel Injectors SCT Flash Chip (Excaliber II), Throttle Body, Lowering Springs, Carbon Fiber Hood -Front 275/40ZR17 -Rear 315/35ZR17 5.0 Short Shifter 3.55 Gears
SnowDrifter
Both amps get no power: No power on the 12v power wire or no power as in they don't power on? I wouldn't be surprised if you popped a fuse or several in your deck. One of them being the remote turn on. Try taking a piece of wire, preferably with a fuse in it since we don't know what else is broken, and run it from a positive source to your amp turn on ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Skax
i put dmm on dc volts positive to remote and black to amp ground read 0.07 2002 Mustang GT Procharged Procharger P1SC Supercharger, 8psi Procharger Intercooler, Headers, Borla Off Road X-Pipe Exhaust, Mass Airflow Upgraded Fuel Injectors SCT Flash Chip (Excaliber II), Throttle Body, Lowering Springs, Carbon Fiber Hood -Front 275/40ZR17 -Rear 315/35ZR17 5.0 Short Shifter 3.55 Gears
hdorre
i put dmm on dc volts positive to remote and black to amp ground read 0.07 just to clarify.. that was with the car and HU on.. right? If so, the remote out on your HU took a shit (double check behind the hu). If voltage is still 0 back there, you could wire the amps rem input to your cars ignition. bbeljefe
You would need to check the remote turn on voltage coming from the head unit just like you checked it at the amp... with your meter. That can easily be done by probing connection between the head unit harness and the wire running to the amps. I don't see a lot of fruit from that test though, it sound like you blew that circuit in the head unit and since they're not protected, you'll have to grab power from an ignition switched circuit in the car.
