Tantrics actually arnt that bad on price $600 for a 1500-2k rms 15

$600 for 1 15 that is 1500-2000w? Thats not bad?

There actually only about half of that price. So no, it's not that bad. Still competitively priced IMO. Done though, sorry for threadjack.

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

I personally wouldn't hesitate to run the soundqubed subs, I have friends of mine that are running their entry level stuff. I know one of them has the 12" one on 600 watts and it sounds good for what it is, handles the power perfectly fine even though it's being clipped (He hasn't let me set his amp with my dd1 yet). Another one of my friends has the 10" version but we haven't installed them yet, so I can't tell you much about those. And I personally have the hdc312's. Just my opinion though, hope it helped some.

Personally I would hesitate... I've seen 4 friends who are really good about not clipping blow them because of shitty coils in their new stuff.

Ive had 2 friends.. but yea.. same shit. For me, meh..

Yes I will never run any current coil on the SQs subs. They suck.

AQ/earily SQ coils ALL damn day long. Let me put it this way. I ran some 2.5" coil 12" woofers for a year and a month. No issues. Decided to try out the 3" coil version that was at the same price point. NO SETTINGS WERE CHANGED. nothing. coil started to come loose causing noise a little over a month of running it.

Not sure if the copper is cheaper, or the glue sucks. But something is up.

Remember how they used to underrate their subs by double? Might want to halve the current ratings to be safe.

edit: surprised I didn't use up all my likes between Hunter and Jeff. LOL

after everyones experience with the aq hds3, they seem to be a little too cheap for my liking.

I may try out these B2 IS10s. Nobody has tried them i feel like and they look well built. Trying to get more info.

There is C2 audio as well. I know they make 12s. Not sure if they make other sizes, never really cared to check

Crossfire c7's are like 300 a pop BNIB from a dealer.

Sundown X's would be nasty but you wouldn't like how they sound. Unless you only like to play 15-40hz then X's are not what I'd reccomend. Especially coming from a dd only sub background. The dd subs have a totally different sound and if you like that you will hate the X's
