Aj11: Hey, I'm thinking about shooting myself in the face, should I do it?

Me: No, you'll kill yourself.

alaskanzx5: I don't know, I've never shot myself in the face or seen someone shoot themselves in the face. Maybe it'll get you laid?

Me: I told you, you'll kill yourself.

alaskanzx5: hey, me and Aj bonded in this thread, we are butt buddies now and we like to experiment.

Aj11: Yeah, I like to experiment, and even though I asked a question to more learned and experienced people, I'm going to disregard their input and shoot myself in the face anyway.

wow, talk about stupid.

your getting upset because we said we like to see solid proof or testing. Hell he wants to test it himself. People like us are the ones that don't follow what he or she said but rather look for the truth and logic behind everything.

or we could be like all the idiots ad talk about how a kicker cvr on 300 watts does 170db on music all day.

which would you rather deal with someone willing to do testing to see the results for themselfs or idiots listening to the false info going from my friends brothers gf uncle who heard about a guy doing hairtricks with a 10" so y explode on a boss 2k amp in A sealed box.

The only thing I see is a 35 year old man getting upset that someone didn't listen to him and decided to test it for himself.

sorry that in the 35years of your life the only thing you can fnd to do on a Saturday night is talk shit about someone wanting to do their own testing.

op got opinions from there decided to try it out anyways for his own personal experience.

looks like the thread served its purpose

/thread.

But I'm a 35 year old man that has been doing audio for 20+ years, not a punk talking about kicker. See the difference?

Exactly.. you're a 35 year old "man" arguing over the internet about a speaker installation THAT NEVER EVEN OCCURED.

Thats not something Id be bragging about.

Then again, that's just me..

And all op wants to do is test it for himself.

With my Dipole project I'm doing, there is a slight worse quality to the sound of the mid-range when I listen to the backwave.

The most I could think of to judge how it would actually play like is to look at some 30o and 60o, possibly even 90o off-axis graphs of the reproduction over the speaker's bandwidth.

That is, if there is even any graphs already done for the speakers in question.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
