4 1500W amps or 2 3000W amps or 1 6000W amp? pros/cons?

I am planning my build and I am to the amp selection. I am going to be running 4 Audioqubed HDC3.0 15's in a wall.

My question is: What are the advantages/disadvantages of running 4 1500W amps vs. 2 3000W amps vs. a single 6000W amp.

Side question: What amp(s) would you suggest?

It would depend your goal and what amps really. I mean if you can say use 2 3000watt amps at 2ohms then it could be more efficient then one 6k at 1ohm.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

The subs are going to be D2 so I was pricing out 4 1500W amps and just have each sub to an amp. Then I started to wonder if it would make more sense to do it differently.

Miguels, Thanks. I never thought about matching the gains and how much of a pain that would be. I guess I will be looking for a 6k@1ohm amp. Suggestions?

Look for an amp that will do rated plus then look at average power draw for the amps. I would pick one that has a lower amperage draw and is known for putting out power.

truthfully.... you will want around 8k for those.... used them, and even in 10 cubes for 2 15s on a 5k, the suspension could keep up, thermally not so much. But i think you will want the extra 2k for the times you need it.

IMO since they are under rated and sq even says put there 2200 on them I would look at the ct sounds 7k or a 8k amp

2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d

140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed)

140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL

142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at)

141 on music.
