PortSideAudio Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 This is a an ugly car but has a nice ass, hence but-her-face Box for Soundqubed HDC3.118 being built in the trunk of my 02 Corolla I forgot about the bracing when I was designing the box (oops) so the volume will end up being 5.75 cubic feet Since I forgot about the bracing the tuning will end up being between 34 and 35hz Dog chilling with me Got all the pieces cut out Baffle tongue and grooved Tongue and groove fitting into the bottom Now we are getting to building the box, due to the small size of my car the box will have to be built inside the car Took out the back seat Thinking about make a beauty panel sort of like this, will most likely change tremendously by the time I get to this point Very rugged assembly of the box in the car 2002 Toyota Corolla Pioneer DEH-80PRS Soundqubed Q1-2200d Soundqubed HDC3.118 Soundqubed Q4-120 Alpine SPR-60 Alpine SPR-60C

We are hoping to get the box finished at least this weekend and maybe getting the sub in. Its pretty scary haha, but so far its extremely sturdy, with no major problems... only problem was the trunk not closing but we fixed that by angling the back as I'm sure you saw. PortSideAudio Posted April 30, 2014 Author Report Posted April 30, 2014 This is where we are currently at with the build, as I said before we will get to work again this weekend! These are just basically pictures of the added interior bracketing, also this will show the little problem that we had with the port. You will notice that there is a cut in the port, since we dado grooved the port we couldn't fit it into the box. So what we had to do is cut the port in half and then bracket it, this actually turned out very well, the port is very sturdy! messy amp set up in the corner of the pic, the amp used to be in the spare wheel well, which is now covered by the box, but this is my 4 channel so I couldn't go without music for a week, but there will eventually be an attractive and clean amp rack built for the amp so don't worry everyone!! 2002 Toyota Corolla Pioneer DEH-80PRS Soundqubed Q1-2200d Soundqubed HDC3.118 Soundqubed Q4-120 Alpine SPR-60 Alpine SPR-60C
alaskanzx5 Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 This is an interesting build I'm in for results. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
