never knows best
a whistle notch would be a option.... also estimated the voltage drop over the connector to be <.07% @12v to give you an idea of how small the loss is-

kingsuv
Leads clamped together- 0.00 1 lead on bare wire, 1 lead on the lug- 0.00 1 lead on the input, 1 lead on the lug- 0.00 So you are saying by your tests that there is NO resistance in wire, connector and lug? None whats so ever? Not even a trace? Not even a smidgen? a flutter? Your tests answer all my questions. Sorry to have ruffled your feathers. Carry on gents. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
CJ18
According to my fluke 355, no there was no resistance.
CJ18
I did THE SAME EXACT TEST using the SMD IMSG and both read an identical .20. SAME FUCKING NUMBER. no difference at all.
kingsuv
So in fact there is resistance, yet your fluke did not pick it up? Could you explain your testing method in greater detail? CJ18
Clamp 1 probe on 1 end and clamp the other on te other end. I don't know if the imsg is the right tool to use for that either. Fluke read 0.00 on both wire and input Imsg read .20 and .20 on both wire and input. Still no difference or added resistance.
CJ18
Lets break out yet another Fluke tool. This time it is my Fluke 97 Scope Meter. Resistance test with meter set to go out to .000. Lead resistance test.- .001 resistance in the leads. One clamp on the lug and other clamp on the bare copper wire- .001 NO RESISTANCE One clamp on the lug, other clamp on the end of the 1/0 Input- .001 NO RESISTANCE
CJ18
And yet again I prove my point. Someone else want to send me another tool to use to do this with? I am using the best tools that I have and I think they are pretty solid. Keep bitching if you want, but there is no added resistance by adding this input to the end of the wire. Dyno has shown NO performance decrease. Fluke 355 and 97 have both shown NO resistance.
