Anyone ever get a refund from Dc Power Inc

Recommended Posts

Because the Honda regulators failed twice so the third time around they sent me gm regulator that I had to put inside the alternator. They also sent a new back cover and gm harness that I had to wire up. Factory plug has 4 wires but only the one for the charge light on the dash was tapped in to. The gm plug has one other wire which is attached to the power stud on the alternator. None of the factory wires for eld or computer are hooked up.

Yeah I haven't had any issues getting them on the phone, and thankfully I keep talking to the same guy. Truth is I don't want a refund I just want this alternator to work right. I'm just not gonna keep taking this thing off and putting it back on too many more times.

Does it randomly hop around voltage or will it drop to 13.x and stay there regardless of load?

Remember: Internal regulators are temperature compensating. They'll charge higher when cold, and taper off to a lower voltage when hot. This also serves to protect your batteries since they will "gas" at lower voltages and higher temperatures

If you choose to go external regulation, that won't happen. On mine there's a .2v difference between hot and cold. Need to be careful

Pics of the install? Big three done, Also did you use a new belt? I would also recommend you use a new tensioner.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

It kind of hops around sometimes and putting a load on doesn't change it regardless of what the voltage is at. My concern is even now when I first crank the motor after it has completely cooled it will sometimes only charge at mid to high 13's. I didn't drive the car at all today but did have to back it out of the garage and when I cranked it it was 14.5. There really is no consistency in what it does. Broke Audio Addict the big three has been done and the belt is brand new. There is no tensioner on the civic, it is just a belt directly from the crank pulley to the alternator.
